There is that which the LORD seeks to do in regards to the Harvest, is first a call to the heart. Before GOD gathers men into the field, HE gathers their affections, aligns their desires, and softens what has grown hardened within them.
“For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of GOD more than burnt offerings” (Hosea 6:6, NKJV).
This reveals the foundation upon which this camp meeting stands: not activity, not routine, but a deep return to GOD’S heart. HIS desire is mercy, and HIS longing is that we truly know HIM.
This is the divine intention in this season: GOD will be breaking down the hardness in the hearts of men. Every resistance, every layer of indifference, every trace of self-reliance; HE is set to confront and dismantle.
The Harvest cannot be entrusted to hardened hearts. It requires hearts that are tender, responsive, and yielded. Therefore, before the sending comes the softening; before the assignment comes alignment.
This is why the focus of every session must remain GOD-centric. The emphasis is not on men, methods, or manifestations, but on GOD Himself.
Each session will reveal HIS nature, unveil HIS ways, and deepen our knowledge of HIM. For it is in knowing GOD that true labourers are formed. Without this knowledge, the work becomes mechanical; with it, the work becomes an extension of HIS will.
We must also remain conscious that there are still many in bondage. Lives held captive, destinies restrained, souls wandering without light. The urgency of the Harvest is tied to this reality.
Yet, this camp meeting is not the Harvest itself; it is an avenue to gather harvesters. It is a divine convergence where men are prepared, refined, and commissioned into the field.
There is a strong witness in the SPIRIT; a gathering like that of Abraham’s trained servants.
“Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants... and brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, as well as the women and the people” (Genesis 14:14–16, NKJV).
The number 318 is not merely symbolic; it speaks of a company: trained, intentional, and responsive. Men who are not casual, but prepared. Men who can be mobilized at the sound of instruction.
The initial phase of this gathering is recovery. There are brethren who have been lost, scattered, or taken captive in different ways. The LORD is saying clearly: go and bring back the captives.
This is not a passive instruction; it is a strategic mandate. We are not merely gathering crowds; The LORD is seeking men. Strategic people. Disciples who will stand, who will endure, and who will carry the burden of the Kingdom forward.
Therefore, the posture of our hearts must be one of total surrender and precise obedience. We must plunge into every detail and instruction that proceeds from the counsel of the LORD.
This is not a time for assumptions or personal agendas. It is a season to listen carefully, to move deliberately, and to align completely. The Harvest demands men who will not count their lives dear unto themselves; men who will give all for the sake of the call.
As we approach this camp meeting, let our hearts be burdened, softened, and postured rightly before HIM. Let mercy shape us, and let the knowledge of GOD anchor us. For this is not just a gathering—it is a commissioning ground.
And when the LORD looks upon us, may HE not just see attendees; but harvesters ready to go, hearts prepared to recover, and lives fully yielded to bring many into HIS Eternal field.
